The Music of 1953

When artists remain true to the spirit of improvisation, concerts can become a transcendent experience. I’ve found that live jazz albums are typically more inspired/inspiring than their rock ‘n’ roll counterparts. 1953 featured two of the greatest live sets in recorded history: Jazz at Massey Hall and Jazz at Oberlin.
