Soultrane is a largely forgotten LP from John Coltrane’s early Prestige era. Once again featuring the Red Garland Trio, the album swings harder than anything ‘Trane had released up to that point. The music is a dazzling blur.

Soultrane is highly recommended for fans of very, very fast sax playing. But I wish I could recommend something more specific…there didn’t seem to be any songs on the album.
