I probably don’t give Sarah Vaughan the credit that she deserves. I’ve only reviewed a few of her albums from the 1950s. Nevertheless, she was a pioneering singer who possessed one of the strongest voices in jazz history. My only problem with Vaughan’s music: she’s a great singer, but she sings too much.
