Always a pleasure to hear one of the greatest singers of all time. Especially when she’s singing the songs of Gershwin. Even though this is a relatively minor entry in her vast discography — overshadowed by her 1940s Decca recordings and her late-’50s Songbooks — Ella Sings Gershwin is a fine, occasionally fantastic album.
