Sonny Rollins and the Big Brass

Artist: Sonny Rollins

Year: 1958

Genre: Hard Bop

Grade: B+

The huge sound of Sonny Rollins’ tenor saxophone is sometimes at odds with the accompanying big brass twelvetet. Nevertheless, Sonny Rollins and the Big Brass is still an interesting experiment in big band bop.
